YPMUN 2016 will be held on April 30th, 2016 at YanPing High School. This is our inaugural conference and is only opened to delegates from YanPing who are 9th grade or above.
We hope that we will soon be able to host larger events and include students from other schools as well.
Welcome letter from Secretary General
Welcome to YanPing Model United Nations workshop. Seeing that many passionate students in YanPing are willing to engage in all kinds of extracurricular activities during their high school times, but not many of them have even heard of MUN, I found it surprising and regrettable. Therefore, the YPMUN club decided to hold this miniature conference with a view to exposing more students on campus to the fantastic world of model United Nations.
In the morning of this one-day conference, we will briefly demonstrate the North American parliamentary ROP and equip all delegates with the basic skills for a conference. There will be two sessions in the afternoon, each about two and a half hour long. Delegates get to present the best of themselves in SOCHUM.
For those of you who have no past MUN experience, we hope that through this small conference, you will not only learn how to motion, how to speak in a convincing manner, but also learn how to bloc, how to write an organized document, and so on. And for those who are not first MUNers, we believe you will further polish your skills and learn much from other distinguished delegates. We are sure that this conference will be an unforgettable and educational experience for all of us!
